The history of the Domaine Champault dates back to around 1850. Roger Champault, who decided to get involved in the family business, first started out with just 2 hectares of vines. However, as the business began to grow, so did the size of the estate, thanks to several purchases of new land and the planting of new vineyards. It was very important to Roger that he was working with the most efficient technology possible, and so invested in modern equipment and machinery, including temperature controlled tanks in the cellar.
After their studies, Roger’s two sons, Claude and Laurent, came to join him to help run the family business. The domaine continues to work towards maintaining a true family feel in and around the estate.
Today, the vineyard covers 20 hectares in total, and vines are planted on some of the most reputable terroir in the region.
